Olive Oil Production Tracker

Privacy Policy

What the app stores, where it is kept, and how to get rid of it.

Last updated: 31 August 2026

The short version. The app records your olive harvest figures so you can compare them year to year. It keeps those figures, and the basic profile details from whichever account you sign in with, in Google Firebase. It shows no adverts, runs no analytics or tracking, and the data is never sold or shared with anyone else. You can delete everything from inside the app at any time.

Who this covers

This policy applies to the Olive Oil Production Tracker mobile application, published by Edde Development (package com.eddedevelopment.oliveoilproductiontracker). It does not cover this website or any other product.

What the app collects

Two kinds of information, and nothing else.

WhatWhere it comes fromWhy
Your name, email address and profile picture Supplied by Google, Facebook or Apple when you choose to sign in To identify your account and show who is signed in
An account identifier Created by Google Firebase when you first sign in To keep your records separate from everyone else's
Your production records — the year, the weight of olives, the weight of oil, and optionally labour and grinding costs Typed in by you To store and display your harvest history

What the app does not collect

The only permissions the app requests are internet access, and the biometric permission Android requires for the system sign-in prompt.

Where it is stored

In Google Firebase — Firebase Authentication for sign-in and Cloud Firestore for your records — operated by Google as our data processor. Your records live in an area reserved for your account, and the database rules permit only your own signed-in account to read or write them. Everything travels over an encrypted connection.

Google's handling of the data is governed by the Firebase Privacy and Security policy.

Who it is shared with

Nobody. Your information is not sold, rented, traded, or handed to advertisers, data brokers or analytics companies. The only third party involved is Google, as the provider of Firebase.

The app has a Share button that opens your phone's normal sharing sheet with a summary of the calculation on screen. That happens only when you press it, and only you decide where it goes.

Signing in

Signing in is handled by Google, Facebook or Apple. Your password is never seen by, entered into, or stored by this app. Those providers pass back only your name, email address and profile picture.

If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email address, Apple gives us a relay address instead of your real one, which works exactly the same way.

How long it is kept

Your records stay until you delete them. Delete your account and they are removed from the database immediately; residual copies in Google's routine backups are purged in the ordinary course of Firebase's retention, generally within 30 days.

Your choices

Depending on where you live you may also have rights to a copy of your data or to object to its processing. Write to us and we will help.

Children

The app is intended for people managing olive production and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's store listing.
